The Legal Aid Act of 2011 provides for the establishment of a legal aid and access to justice fund. Through the fund, financial assistance is made available to the Legal Aid Council on behalf of indigent citizens for the prosecution of claims in accordance with the Constitution. The Act empowers the Legal Aid Council with responsibility for the operation of a scheme for the grant of legal aid and access to justice in certain matters or proceedings to persons with inadequate resources.
Paralegals are addressed in Part IV, Section 17. The Act states that the Council may grant licenses to persons who have undergone a prescribed course in paralegal services to render such services in appropriate situations. The Act also authorizes the Council to partner with or otherwise engage the services of non-governmental organizations and law clinics that are engaged in the provision of legal aid or assistance to persons who are entitled to legal aid.

Your trust level, therefore, reflects Forum administrators’ confidence in you, and their willingness to delegate community management functions, like moderation.
