Welcome to the first lesson of the course!
What will you learn?
In this lesson, you’ll learn about the key elements of legal empowerment. First, you’ll have the chance to get an overview of legal empowerment in a video by Vivek Maru and some short readings. Then, you’ll learn about the rich history of the legal empowerment movement by watching an interview with legal empowerment leaders from South Africa and the Philippines. You will have the opportunity to test your learning with two quizzes and share with others in the discussion board at the end of the lesson.
