I am Gerel Dondovdorj, work for the Mongolian National Federation of the Blind as the president. I am a lawyer and did my master on international human rights at the University of Notre Dame in the USA.
I have been working in disability field since 2006.
I am a member of the National Disability policy counsel, also, serving as a member of the Disability Policy Counsel at the Ministries of Education, Labor and social protection as well as justice as well as a member of the Mongolian Bar association. In addition, I was part in the drafting process of the law on the rights of persons with disabilities in the Mongolian Parliament, as well as of the drafting process of other laws such as law on social welfare, labor and education etc.
I led the reporting work of organisations of persons with disabilities before the CRPD, CEDAW and ICESCR Committees on the review of her country and attended the interactive dialogue of the CRPD and CEDAW Committees, respectively, in April 2015, and February 2016.
