I am a theatre Director, a published author of twenty-five books in Setswana and at the moment I am busy translating some to English. There are some cultures in our country that oppress women and girls even though the country Constitution does not oppress anyone. Young girls are put in marriages at the age of 12 and this has let to drop outs from schools. This girls and their mothers needs to be empowered with law protecting their rights and theatre is the best to relate such to them.
