I am a professor in the Faculty of Forestry & Agronomy at the Universidade de Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) in Maputo, Mozambique. I am an action researcher expert with strong experience in qualitative methods and participatory approaches to develop, implement and assess training programs and community-based participatory projects. I have worked for several years on action-research in Limpopo NP with communities working towards access to benefit-sharing mechanism. My current research in other conservation areas and wildlife concessions engages with multiple stakeholders through facilitated dialogue and social learning for collectively explore co-management opportunities to reconcile conservation and people’s livelihood needs. Long-term field experience and in applied, community-engaged research.
