I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I co-founded and currently work for Dahlak Exchange, a public-interest media organisation. Over the last year, we have been working with a group of domestic workers to launch and develop Izwi Domestic Workers Alliance. Izwi advises domestic workers in Johannesburg on their labour rights, supports them in accessing justice, and uses media to shift the narrative of how they are perceived in society. I am interested in joining this network to be part of a broader "access to justice" community, which will hopefully make the work that we do richer and more effective.

I have always worked in civil society, mostly in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Dahlak, I worked with the Network for Social Entrepreneurs at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (S. Africa), Education for Employment Foundation (US / Egypt / Morocco) and the US Peace Corps (Niger).
