I am a Program Coordinator , leads and manages the Legal Assistance Center(LAC), The International Rescue Committee(IRC), the LAC project focuses on strengthening engagement and capacity of refugee camp and host country authorities, increasing legal awareness, and helping refugees assert their rights and access legal remedies.

LAC is a partnership between UNHCR and IRC, project promotes the rule of law and access to justice for Burmese refugees in Thailand and operates in 5 camps, since 2007, the project has established in three camps (Mae La in Tak Province, and Ban Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin in Mae Hong Son Province) and in June 2011 expanded to two additional camps in Tak Province (Umpiem Mai and Nupo)
The mains activities are including ;
• Legal services: information legal counseling and case management facilitation
• Legal awareness and empowerment on the Thai law, international standard their rights/responsibility as well as how to access to services
• Sustainability of access to the justice for refugee by increasing engagement and capacity building with camp and Thai authorities, refugee , institution and civil society and build up the community base paralegal
• Information sharing and preparation on durable solution that refugee will have enough information to allow them to make better decision for their future including information on anti-human trafficking ,migrant and labor in Thailand, Rule of Law, Law and policy in their home country on civil documentation, land rights, policy and law and how to get support and services and etc.
