Chetachi Louis-Udeh is the Legal Programs Officer at Alliances for Africa (AFA), in charge of legal issues and sees to the developing and implementation of the organization’s strategic and operational plans. She serves as the focal person for the Gender Justice/African Court Project Initiatives in AFA.
Chetachi holds a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and was called to the Nigerian Bar. She is a human rights activist interested in gender equality working with various stakeholders including government institutions, to integrate human rights based approaches in development and humanitarian work. She is passionate about promoting and protection of women and children's human right. Married with children and resides in Owerri, Nigeria. By joining this network it is her desire to contribute to enhancement of legal empowerment especially in Africa, interact, network and engage other lawyers to enhance her capacity in justice delivery system and law reforms.
