Clara Barasa

Clara Barasa is a practicing advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Arbitrator with a keen interest in access to justice in the human rights field. She undertook a Bachelor of Laws at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and proceeded to the Kenya School of Law for a Postgraduate Diploma. She has been involved in gender, children and person with disabilities rights in Kenya and in Tanzania. She currently works as a legal officer at Kituo cha Sheria under the Forced Migration Program where she provides legal intervention on behalf of refugees. She has given lectures on refugee law at CUEA, Kabarak and Riara universities and trained police officers at the Kiganjo and Embakasi training schools. When she is not in court or conducting trainings, she loves to read, hike and travel. She aims to be amongst the top public interest litigators in the country.
