I’m the Executive Director of the Legal Resources Centre (LRC), Ghana. I lead management to provide direction, leadership and management expertise for shaping and operationalising all aspects of work of the LRC, and in the two Programmes of the LRC: Human Rights Cities and Research, Advocacy and Advisory Services. I’m a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, I obtained a Certificate to Practice Law from the Ghana School of Law. I obtained my Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from the University of Ghana and Masters Degree (LL.M.) in Law from Harvard Law School. My organization has been running a Legal Aid clinic for the past 19years and there are a lot of roadblocks and bottlenecks in the criminal justice system. To mention a few, there is no way of tracing a docket using technology, administration of Justice is very slow and there are also a lot of remand prisoners due to the bottlenecks the justice sector faces. I would like to explore methods to resolve this situation.
