Florencia Librizzi is an international attorney and a sustainable development professional with 15+ years of experience. Florencia joined ISLP as the Director of Community Inclusive Development (CID) to lead ISLP’s engagement with civil society actors and social impact enterprises. Florencia previously served as Head of Program and Partnerships, SDG Academy, leading the flagship education initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). She was appointed Co-Chair of the UN Higher Education for Sustainability Initiative (HESI) where she convenes multi-stakeholder partners to scale up the impact of higher education for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Florencia also devoted over 6 years to build the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative of the UN Global Compact and served as a research consultant for the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) advising on issues of post-conflict societies to address human rights violations through truth, memory, reparations, justice, and other measures. Florencia has practiced law since 2006 advising business and non-business clients on a wide range of legal issues. Florencia has taught several courses and seminars at various universities. She received her first law degree magna cum laude from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) and earned her Masters of Laws (LL.M.) at NYU School of Law, where she was granted the Dean’s Award and distinguished as a Transitional Justice Scholar. Florencia served as a graduate editor for the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics and has published several articles, book chapters, and expert reports. She is a member of the New York Bar and has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of several non-for-profit organizations.
