Brazilian, who was born and grew up in the greater periphery of the great Bom Jardim, in the city of Fortaleza, which is one of the most dangerous capitals in the world. There, it was transformed by an NGO that worked the dance, where she spent 17 years; then decided to leave and go back to her neighborhood and set up his own social project, the Katiana Pena Institute - IKP, which provides free services to 600 needy children and adolescents from the outskirts of the Great Bom Jardim, teaching dance, formal school support and food, being the largest social project of the city in number of learners. All 14 IKP employees are the fruit of other social projects, who believed in Katiana's ideals and followed her to found the Katiana Pena Institute; its 14 employees, were their first dance group and are together to this day carrying out the social transformation within the greater periphery of Fortaleza.
