I was born and raised in an area of Sindh, Pakistan that is still not visible on Google Earth. Being raised in a family that believes in the engineering degrees of men and reproductive abilities of women, I was also not sent to school just like any other girl in my village. However, all of us would organize small study circles and come together to discuss on every issue under the sky and beyond. These circles eventually started to gain momentum in other parts of the village and today it is an established small scale organization (known as SARTY) that deals with the educational, health and political rights of rural women. We are a big advocacy group that is trying to making legal changes in the district government in eradicating the gender violence. I want to join the network so I could be around the people who are doing their part in making this world a bit better than they found it.
