Abu Mallam legal advisory has its head office in Abuja, Nigeria and carries out projects in rural communities. Our mission is to provide legal services to indegent members of the society.

Abu Mallam Legal Advisory is an organization aimed at providing legal services, including advocacy, litigation and advisory services to indigent and vulnerable members of the society. we are currently running an Alternative Dispute Resolution training for traditional and religious leaders in the rural communities in Kaduna state. we intend to expand and extend this project. we also take on probono services for inmates awaiting trial who cannot afford legal services. Also we provide legal services on gender-based offences,  and create awareness on human rights.

My name is Joyce Abu Mallam, a Nigerian. I am a legal practitioner with a specialization in Humanitarian Law. I am the managing partner at Abu Mallam legal advisory, an organization that offers legal services to indigent and vulnerable members of the society. I am also a partner at Ubbah harris reach out foundation which is an NGO focusing on providing welfare packages to less privileged children and women. I am an advocate for peace, in 2018, my organization, carried out an alternative dispute resolution training for traditional and religious leaders in Gwantu community, Kaduna state. we intend to carry on with this project across Nigeria, and subsequently Africa at large. I need the necessary training to be able to properly and efficiently enlighten people on peace, justice, and dispute resolution, hence my purpose for joining this platform.

LAWA is an umbrella organization that functions as a consortium of 11 local women's movements in Lamu County. Each board member represents one of the women's movements and has a different professional background and expertise.LAWA is the only women-led organization in Lamu that has an office space and has permanent staff members.The foundation of LAWA in 2021 was the first step to materializing a feminist movement in Lamu, and this project will take the movement a step further by addressing the norms, systems and behaviours.
Through the project LAWA will be able to; Identification of social norms and intersecting barriers that limit the opportunities and bodily integrity of women and girl,Action Planning workshop, SRHR/GBV School Curriculum and Communication Strategy Development, SRHR/ GBV training of Trainers (ToT) for LAWA Staff,SRHR/ GBV Training of Trainers (ToT) for Teachers, SRHR/ GBV awareness-raising in schools,Sanitary Pad Distribution for Secondary School Girls, Parenting Skills in Schools and SRHR/ GBV awareness,ToT for Community Leaders,ToT for Religious Leaders,Community Human Rights Activist Training, HRD Protection,Training for LAWA and Community HRDs, and HRD Committee Meetings and Follow-up communication and advocate for policy reviews and implementation that create and enabling environment for girls and women equal opportunities.
