Action for Justice in Burundi is a local organisation working in the field of Human Rights and Rule of Law promotion.
I hold a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Dar es Salaam(Tanzania). I am currently a researcher as I am pursuing a PhD programme at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. I am also a University lecturer teaching International Human Rights Law and Law of Regional Integration at Martin Luther Kings' University of Bujumbura in Burundi since 2015. I am a member and a leader of several organisation; the most important among them Is "Action for Justice and Equity in Burundi -AJEBU GENDERINGINGO, a non- profit organisation of lawyers providing for legal empowerment and legal assistance to people in need.
I am a lawyer by profession and I am the Managing Director of Alpha Justice Chambers (AJC), the law firm I work for. I am also leading the organization Action for Justice and Equity in Burundi, interested in promoting a rule of law in Burundi. I am personally passionate of Human Rights defense and protection. By joining this forum, I look forward to gaining much from others and grow in leadership (I am also an alumnus of Young African Leadership Initiative, YALI Regional East Africa, Civic Leadership track, cohort 25 ).
