Agape of Hope was founded with an aim of equipping young women victims of economic and social forces with information and knowledge of reproductive health, vocational skills, improved farming and human rights to enhance their capacity to become responsible citizens. Agape of Hope helps to improve the lives of adolescent girls and young women by empowering them with knowledge and skills for self-reliance. The target beneficiaries of our programs are adolescent girls in school, out of school youths, young mothers/women, maids, young women with disabilities and orphans. Agape of Hope is currently implementing its activities under five major thematic areas:
• Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRHE)
• Skills Development and Training
• Human Rights Promotion and Good governance.
• Improved farming
• Environmental protection

• Enhancing the female youth with basic information and knowledge on human rights to become responsible citizens
• Establishment of a training center for young women in vocational and technical skills for economic empowerment to help them earn a living in their own communities
• Equipping the adolescent youth with life skills for prevention of early pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS for them to complete school.
• Equipping young women with improved farming practices to reduce household poverty, hunger and malnutrition in families.
• Promoting clean environment practices through tree planting and waste recycling

Am by the name of Kahyana Joseph the Programs Director of Agape of Hope Female Youth Development Association. Am a social worker and with experience of over 25 years working in the prevention of domestic violence and Human Rights promotion and women and girls. At first i was working with Kamuruli united rural women Association as a director for 5 years and then after that i joined Good Hope foundation for rural development as a executive director and where i worked for 13 years. And from there i joined Agape of Hope where am now as a programs director. In all those organizations our main focus was on the promotion of Human rights and sexual abuse among women and and girls. For girls who could be sexually abused and be impregnated at early age could be trained in vocational skills to enable her sustain her self and her child, since most of them could not with the boys who impregnated them. Even some of those boys could be young boys who cant manage to take care of them and the children. We also went further to find out why early pregnancies among adolescent girls. And one of the causes was lack of menstrual hygiene materials such as sanitary pads and we then started training them on how to make reusable sanitary pads to the adolescent girls in primary schools in order to reduce the problem of early pregnancies among adolescent girls in our rural communities. We have trained over 2440 adolescent girls in primary schools and over 600 parents in communities where those children come from.
