AIDS-Free World is an international advocacy organization that exposes injustice, abuse and inequality, the social ills that underpin and continue to sustain HIV.

Presence in: Canada, Gambia, United States
Focus: Gender-based violence, Health, Women's Rights

AIDS-Free World is an international advocacy organization that addresses systematic injustice, discrimination, abuse and inequality–the roots that underpin epidemics of HIV around the world. Through high-level advocacy, in-depth research, policy analysis, strategic communications, and creative legal approaches, we tackle the institutionalized social ills that allowed HIV to gain traction in the 1980s and continue to sustain its spread more than three decades later. Our latest work has included: the Code Blue Campaign aimed at eliminating impunity for UN personnel who perpetrate sexual abuse; advocating for the ILO to include labour performed by girls in illegal child “marriages” in child labour statistics; pushing to use universal jurisdiction to prosecute politically motivated sexual violence that occurred Zimbabwe; support for HIV criminalization cases around the world; and holding Legal Consultation Centers at international AIDS conferences to provide delegates and members of the public with free informal consultations with volunteer attorneys regarding HIV and human rights related challenges they face at home.

I am the Legal Advisor for Global Advocacy at AIDS-Free World, an advocacy organization dedicated to addressing underlying issues that caused the AIDS epidemic, including gender inequality, sexual violence, and discrimination.
I work on a variety of international law issues, including work related to sexual violence perpetrated by peacekeepers, using universal jurisdiction to prosecute politically motivated sexual violence, and efforts to have the ILO include labor performed by girls in illegal child “marriages” in child labor statistics. I represent AFW on the Steering Committee of HIV Justice Worldwide and coordinate our Legal Consultation Centers at international AIDS conferences, which provides delegates and members of the public free informal discussions with an attorney.

I am looking forward to establishing connections with groups working on similar projects, recruiting new volunteers to our Legal Consultation Centers, and learning about new impact litigation cases.
Seth Earn is the network champion (main point of contact) for AIDS-Free World.
