ALCHA is a committed NGO active in community capacity building that exists to serve marginalized and resource-poor pastoralist communities in Marsabit county of Northern kenya  and Borena zone of Oromia reional state in democratic republic of Ethiopia.  It was first registered in Kenya under registration certicate number OP.218/051/11-0868/7751. 

Vision: “Empowered pastoralist communities that sustainably utilize their resources”.

Mission: is “To facilitate sustainable development of the pastoralist communities through access to quality Basic education, Civic education and Democratic Governance, integrated Health and nutrition management, Environmental conservation, Peace building and Livelihoods and entrepreneurship development”.

RECOGNITIONS, MERITS AND AWARDS: ALCHA has won many awards/recognitions:-

November 2012: “Best Performing CSO” award for best implementation of access to justice project.

November 2014: “Best Performing CSO, 1st Runners up” award in access to justice

“Jattani Wario: Exemplary service to Civil Society from 2013-2014”  award
