I am currently Project Assistant in the Accountability Unit at the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development, Jordan, where I work on the planning and implementation of legal empowerment projects for Syrians and host communities, within the humanitarian emergency context. Previously, I worked in strategic human rights litigation in the UK for three years, challenging high level government policies, often related to armed conflict in the Middle East. I graduated with a distinction in MA International Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), where I specialised in the International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law, and attained BA Honours in International Relations from the University of Sussex.
I’ve worked in the Middle East on GBV, gender, and legal empowerment, but want to increase my understanding of how organisations can best work with all levels of society to achieve justice.
