ARDHA JABESA foundation is Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that was registered in the year 2021 under section 10 of the NGOs Coordination ACT, 1990. The organization has been operating as Charitable Nonprofit organization since 2017 and later gained NGO status in the year 2021.

The organization area of operations includes the following counties in Kenya namely; ISIOLO, SAMBURU, MARSABIT, WAJIR and Tana River Counties.

Ardha Jabesa Foundation could also be defined as an implementing organization which designs and implements various developmental support with the financial and technical partnership with local and international partners and the two levels of Government i.e National Government and County Government.

Ardha Jabesa Foundation works with the pastoral and agro-pastoral communities of Isiolo, Samburu, Marsabit, Wajir and Tana River counties in Kenya, In particular we work with communities whose operations and targeting by other actors is minimal i.e. mobile pastoralists, rural and peri-urban communities with minimal contacts with other agencies.

Ardha Jabesa Foundations’ approach to Community development is motivated by the relationship between the communities living across the counties of Isiolo, Samburu, Marsabit,Wajir and Tana River counties and their interdependence and connection to their natural ASAL ecosystem due to the perennial nomadic pastoralist lifestyle. The organization programmes focuses on the cross counties -border approach that is intended to build synergy and enhance communities’ engagement and resilience to recurrent disaster threats and risks resulting from fragile climatic condition.Ardha Jabesa Foundation has thus focused on the following four (4) thematic areas;;

 Sustainable livelihood support & Economic empowerment initiatives
 Peace, governance and social-economic integration

 Environmental and Sustainable Natural Resources Management

 Rights based Advocacy
