Im a lawyer from Los Andes University Colombia, currently I work for Asociación Ambiente y Sociedad a Colombian NGO that works for the protection of the environment focused on fundamental human and environmental rights, I support the Environmental Democracy Area related to access rights for ethnic and rural communities, High Mountain and Amazonian ecosystem protection and research of PES and other economic tools for conservation.
I'm also a delegate of The Youth Congress for Sustainable Americas congregated by The Biennial and The Nature Conservancy, and soon I will join United Nations University - Institute for the Advanced study of sustainability in Tokyo Japan, to do a MSC in Sustainability.

Joining this network I am aiming to provide my expertise and support legal empowerment initiatives arising in the international environmental law field.

I work as environmental democracy program coordinator at Asociacion Ambiente y Sociedad, an environment and human rights NGO with a special focus in capacity building and legal advice for communities. I am an Attorney graduated from Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia where I was part of the Public Interest Clinic and the Investigation group on Human Rights. I have a postgraduate title in Constitutional Law and I'm currrently doing my LL.M. in International Legal Studies. In 2015 I was elected as a representative of the public in the Regional Negotiation process to implement Principle 10 of Rio Declaration in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I hope joining this network contributes to the streghtening of my work with communities in Colombia.
