LET STATION is a grass-root organization located in Prilep, North Macedonia, working on providing equal access to justice for all citizens, especially those from marginalized communities.

LET STATION is an association dedicated to realization of the legal needs of the citizens by encouraging openness and cooperation of the institutions.
The main goals of our work and actions are:
– To provide education and assistance to citizens in order to exercise their rights, with a focus on vulnerable and marginalized groups, in the area of ​​health and social rights.
– To encourage institutions of the system of transparency and responsibility in the work, adapted to the needs of the citizens.
– To promote equality of citizens on all grounds, by undertaking activities for prevention and protection against discrimination.
– To provide conditions for multi-ethnic and social cohesion and action by involving persons of different ethnic, geographical and social profile,
– To contribute to achieving gender equality and tackling existing inequalities between men and women.

Since its establishment, numerous activities have been realized in order to achieve the above goals, and some of the achieved results include:

  • Formed and active 2 groups (Community Promoters who work to promote health rights of marginalized communities and Paralegals formed and active for better coverage and providing access to justice for all).
  • A telephone and online service “Call emergency paralegal aid” has been introduced as a rapid response to the COVID – 19 crisis, which is available 24/7 for all citizens, in order to quickly respond to their legal needs and problems.
  • Legal and administrative assistance is being provided on a daily bases to more than 100 persons per month for exercising the rights of health, social protection, insurance, labor rights, etc.
  • Activities are  being implemented continuously  in the direction of monitoring corruption and conflict of interest, primarily by institutions at the local level, starting with public health institutions and other local institutions.

My name is Hristina Zdraveska and I am a law graduate by profession. During my work engagements I was upgraded in the legal field through work in the Law Office, and a turning point in my life is my commitment as a civil activist in the NGO. I am currently working as a jurist in the Association for Legal Education and Transparency LET STATION. My everyday job is consisted of legal assistance for legal reinforcement in the area of health and social rights with a focus on Roma as a marginalized community and rural residents. I am a representative of my organization in the Network for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination and I am actively working in that field. I have engaged in numerous successfully completed and current European project activities in the field of legal empowerment, anti-discrimination and anti-corruption. I have skills and qualifications that I have gained by attending numerous seminars held by foreign and domestic organizations. Therefore, I believe that the courses offered by your Network will help me in order to upgrade my knowledge and skills, and I will be one step closer to contributing to the realization of my vision "enabled access to justice for every citizen".

PhD student in international law and politics. Since 2016 I have actively worked as an NGO activist for legal empowerment, legal aid and access to justice for the citizens of vulnerable and marginalized communities (Roma, children and families in social risk, young people form minorities living in rural areas, former prisoners etc.). The organisation that I am leading since January 2019, LET STATION, has established a community based Center for access to justice, first of its kind in the south-west region in Macedonia.
