Betterliving Foundation and Capacity Development (BEFCAD), a Non-profit Organization (CAC/IT/NO 120564) existing since 2005 focuses on participatory development strategies with relevant partners to strengthen grass-root communities and other existing institutions to enhance access to equal opportunities towards better living for all.

Margaret E. Adedeji, Executive Director, Betterliving Foundation and Capacity development (BEFCAD) is a Talk-show Presenter and consultant in Media for Development, Project Management and in Community Development programs. She is the convener of Elected Sisters Intercessory Forum (ESIF), Just4Girls Camp, and Partnership Initiative for Rural Women (PAIR-Women) Network. The initiator, Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Impact Program (LEDIP), and the State Focal Person (SFP), Association Against Child, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (AACSGBV), Ondo State.
A writer/poet, she has had many years of experience in leadership positions with different seasoned organizations. Her experience in the NGO sector has enriched her skills in Peer to Peer Education for in and out of school youth, School Counseling Program and Psycho-Social Support to children and young adults. With her social media and ICT skills, she designed a talk show where the voice of women and girls is amplified and challenges resolved. As the anchor/host of “One Voice, Many Women Show” on YouTube and other media outlets, she has counseled and fought for the rights of women and girls through her NGO for over 20 years.
Due to her passion to see women being relieved of poverty and undue stress in business, she conceived a green technology centered on waste to wealth for the vulnerable riverine women; from which the entire community also benefited. The Biogas and Renewable Energy Center in Ogoluwayo community, Ilaje LGA of Ondo State is where water hyacinth, cow dung and fish waste are used to produce biogas and renewable energy. With the biogas, the women are able to smoke their fishes without tears and smoke-induced sicknesses while at the same time, the community has electricity for the first time in their history.
As a result oriented development worker, she is skilled in providing capacity building, institutional strengthening support to organizations and communities, proposal development focused on development projects that aim to build good leadership, goodwill among citizens, peace and good governance. She has, over the years, implemented both local and international projects with innovative, right-based approach on Green Environment, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Quality Healthcare and Inclusive Education. An experienced advocate of Social Change, she is known for Positive Global Orientation in the Non-Profit Sector with tested skills in participatory strategies for community development, women empowerment and inclusiveness in decision-making processes.
