Black Warrior Riverkeeper is a citizen-based nonprofit organization that is committed to ensuring the safety of the Black Warrior River and it’s tributaries. Our watershed drains into counties such as Walker, Jefferson, Tuscaloosa, Greene, and Hale Counties in the State of Alabama. We are a member of the Riverkeeper Alliance, a network of riverkeepers internationally who patrol, monitor, and protect our watersheds from polluters.

I am an environmental engineer and researcher. I have an interdisciplinary background in chemistry, public health, and environmental regulation. My particular interest is to understand the fate and transport of chemical pollutants through water media and public health impacts. My professional goals include a career in environmental justice and equity.
