Birudo is local non-governmental organisation started in 2006 based in Buliisa district with a vision of self-sustaining and empowered vibrant community living free from poverty, ignorance and diseases. The mission is to improve the livelihoods of the local communities through information sharing, sensitization, advocacy and networking for sustainable development.

Founder and Executive Director of Buliisa Initiative for Rural Development Organisation (BIRUDO).I am a motivated leader/development professional with over eighteen years’ experience in the advocacy on conservation, land and natural resource rights and livelihoods programs and four years’ experience in a senior programme management role, community conservation roles in Uganda particular in Albertine areas and Murchison Falls conservation area. I am a person of integrity who is dynamic, ambitious, and quick to learn and is willing to take initiative. I have experience in working with community around protected areas and strong networking, negotiation and cross-cultural skills including local government, central government development partners and donors
