Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD) is a non-profiting, non-governmental, non-political, research and service oriented organization is actively engaged in protecting human rights of women and disadvantaged groups with a view to upgrade their quality of life. CWAD, established in July 1997, as a social and non-governmental organization, is composed of a group of dedicated professionals who are committed to address the issues of discrimination, exploitation an inequality faced by Nepalese women.
Mission:
The mission of CWAD is to reduce gender-based violence, protection and promotion of human rights of women, children and marginalized groups as well as economic empowerment of the women and to influence policy making and implementing agencies for women’s participation in decision-making process.
