Edwin Mumbere has worked in the conservation and campaigns against fossil fuels for going on 6 years now. He is the Coordinator for Centre for Citizens Conserving (CECIC) and President of Safelight, a clean energy solution a consortium of organizations and has helped them increase the use of renewable energy in homes from 300 solar units in 2004 to 1000 today across western Uganda.

As part of Safe Light, Edwin has worked hard to drive a culture of just transition to renewable energy across the country, including participating actively in training, research and mobilizing for better energy policies in Uganda and he resides in Uganda. Am looking to network with other legal empowerment network members to share knowledge and case studies from the different countries that we represent.
Edwin Mumbere is the network champion (main point of contact) for Centre for Citizens Conserving (CECIC).
