My name is Marcela Im from Colombia, I studied law and have been working in defending human rights of vulnerable population. I work as a researcher at the Center of Research of Criminal Policy at the University Externado de Colombia. Through legal research and field studies we conduct projects that aim empowerment, ownership, participation and advocacy of the population that suffered any kind of opression or marginalization. My interest in joining the network is about sharing experiences of people worldwide that work towards the same goals, in similar contexts and conditions. Learning from others is a big opportunity to explore new alternatives of advocacy and meet people that is working to have a world more fair and just.
Marcela Olarte is the network champion (main point of contact) for Centro de Investigación en Política Criminal.
