Child Helpline Cambodia (CHC) was established in 2009. Its vision is "children and youth in Cambodia grow up free from violence, abuse and exploitation within a comprehensive child protection system".

Child Helpline Cambodia (CHC) promotes child rights and build opportunities for children and youth protection through professional phone counseling, educational and issues-based information service, legal assistance and connecting children and young people to access psycho-social support and essential services with appropriate partners. Through counseling and educational/issued based information sharing on the free helpline telephone 1280 and its online/digital tech tool platform, i.e., social media and SMS, CHC empowers children, young people and their families to make informed decision and CHC will contact its allied system/duty bearers such as local authorities/police to intervene on behalf of the clients when there is an emergency or life of a child or young person is at risk. CHC has provided free legal assistance package and humanitarian assistance package to children and young people as well as women and girls, victims of violence, abuse and exploitation across Cambodia in response to COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn, which affects poor Cambodian people especially the most vulnerable, marginalized and hard to reach segment of the population living in remote areas.

There are high volumes of calls and online contacts that CHC receives each month. CHC has also had its phone counselor team to monitor online abuse, violence and exploitation on social media, i.e. Facebook and operates online question and answer platform to deliver counseling and educational/issues-based information service 24/7.
