Community Initiative Action Group-Kenya is a non-state agency not-for-profit. Founded in 2008.The Initiative is an experiment in volunteerism and the construction of alternative systems to the dominant mainstream ideologies. The Initiative seeks people who see life from close quarters and believe in working with the most marginalized; those who are disturbed by the character of mainstream processes that eludes the comprehension of most people. The Initiative was constituted to implement vibrant programs that would effect the greatest change in the lives of communities and their organizations in Kenya based on relationships which capitalize on the use of alternative systems and spirituality in order to build social capital. The Initiative main goal is to support basic community efforts in order to build a self-sustaining alternative sector in Kenya and to raise the competence of community institutions and their representatives.

The goal of empowering people to take care of their development aspirations within the context that places their way of life and freedom at the top of the agenda has always concerned me. I value team playing and a leadership, which relies on horizontal modes of decision making. The spirituality of all that we do in life and leadership is always uppermost for me.

I have made this organization for purpose of helping my communities for issues which we are passing trough as refugees here in the camp and others people.
I saw that youth people are suffering with : unemployment situation , our ladies are suffering to get support for studies , I have find our youth are getting early married and pregnancies because they don't have support , others are orphans, widows and school drop out because of had situations that we youth are passing through, others are now using drugs because they don't have jobs to do , that is why I have come up with this idea to help my fellow refugees here in Kakuma refugee camp.
The organization have objectives which are : - creating jobs for our fellow refugees , to create a online platform for our youths and that platform will link youth to humanitarian organizations and talk about which we are passing through, support those who having talents , Education for both youths Boys and girls who have dropped out schools , creating youth sports , creating Music training center for our youth because here we are we don't have a music training center. Create peaceful coexistence here in the camp to reduce drugs abuse and violence to our youth , create vulnerable supports as livelihood and Social media to upload and documenting on our situation which we are facing here in Kakuma refugee camp / Kenya .
