Tesfaye has acquired his LL.B and LL.M from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and University of Mysore (India), respectively. He has been a lecturer of law and Research and Community Service Coordinator at the College of Law, Debre Berhan University. He is the winner of the 2014 JusticeMakers International Competition administered by the International Bridge to Justice (IBJ), Geneva, Switzerland. His interests include legal capacity building, awareness creation, research and advocacy in the areas of human rights, social justice, democracy, and good governance.
