ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY

Ecran du Peuple ONG (in English, The People’s Screen NGO)

Ecran du Peuple is a non-governmental, apolitical organization whose objective is to contribute effectively to the information and training of the people of Benin on various subjects that affect their daily lives. It intervenes in social awareness, social extension, moral education, civic education, electoral education, coaching and capacity building of citizens in personal development and sustainable development. In this context, she initiated and implemented programs addressing issues such as youth nutrition education as in the case of bird flu, sexual abuse of girls by school authorities, early marriage of girls, abuse of young people placed under guardianship of others.

It was founded by a group of 13 people. Currently, it is headed by a three (3) member office as follows:

Secretary: Samuel ADAHOU

Treasurer: TELLA Oluwafèmi Ariane P. C . C.

Ecran du Peuple was duly registered under the name ”Ecran du Peuple ONG” at the government office of the departments of Ouémé and Plateau of the Republic of Benin on November 04, 2009 under the number 2009 / 241 / SG / STCCD / SA- Assoc of November 04, 2009. It was published in the Official Gazette (OJ) of the Republic of Benin under the number 120th year N ° 23 of December 1, 2009. Having its seat in the commune of Sèmè-Podji, Ecran du Peuple runs its operations across all the regions of Benin.
