I would like to introduce our organization, its name is Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization (FBCO) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit, non-governmental charity organization established by seasoned Ethiopian professionals who aspire to contribute their part in the socio-economic and human development of the country. FB aims to improve the socio-economic (legal, environmental, moral, and cultural questions, and to the development) problems of the country thereby designing and implementing innovative, evidence-based, impact-driven, culturally appropriate, and community-based interventions. Education, youth empowerment, access to justice, peace and democracy-building, and environmental Protection are the strategic priorities of the organization. Fidel Birhan Charity Organization refers to each and every objective as a priority because each objective holds a high value of importance to us and the society at large

Our organization has currently planned to establish an effective partnership with different strategic partners who would be willing to work with us to reach this goal and to allow the achievement of the project objectives.

I am graduated from Unit University with an LLB in Law and International studies in 2008. Currently, I’m studying for my master’s degree in Project Planning and Management/PPM/ at Gambella university collaborating with a Green Research Institution. I have experience volunteering and working in various Addis Ababa subs - Cities law and justice offices including Kirkosi Sub-city law and justice office and Bole Sub-city law and justice office, in various capacities mainly related to the area of human rights. I have also participated in various human rights training and workshops. I acquired skills in project management and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, training manuals preparation, facilitating training, and lobbying and advocacy.

Currently, I am working in Fidel Birehan Charitable Organization as Executive Manager and I have worked as UNHCR Gambella Representative as Eligibility Assistance / Protection/ in a temporary contractor.

I’m a highly patient, hard-working, energetic, responsible, and experienced person, who worked in most Refugee camps in Ethiopia; to mention Assosa Camps (Sherkole, Ad- demazin transit camp, Tongo, Banbasi) JigJiga camps (Aw bare, Shedder), Afar Camps (Berehalle, Aduqa, Dalull) and Gambella Camps (Akobo transit center and Newly opened camp Leitchur, Terkidi, Kule, and Jewi) and participated in field operations and Urban Exercise. During my stay here I have taken up several different roles like comprehensive level 3 registration and Biometrics Identity Management System (BIMS) exercise and the pilot biometrics distribution test using GDT tool in Kule and Nguenyyie the camp concluded successfully for refugees who completed L3 registration, litigation Desk including leading teams for different registration exercises.

I have sound technical skills, am a good team player, being able to show initiative, and am able to work without constant supervision. Furthermore, I have been working on Community Security and Access to Justice (CSAJ) project beside protection work, and I have participated in the preparation of mobile court guidelines together with Gambella regional RoL bodies, emerging Legal Aid document for the CSAJ project in Gambella, Access to Justice COP input for 2020, templates for narrative and indicators for the 2020-2021COP, 2018 Year End Report - inputs for access to legal assistance and legal remedies improved, PPT presentations for the protection retreat for Legal Protection (CSAJ) Sub-Unit on March 2019, Managing and control public perception baseline survey on access to safety, security and justice in Gambella conducting by SEGEL Research and Training Consulting PLC, a weekly report regarding CSAJ...etc.
