Fondation Tuungane (FTU) is a Non-Governmental Organization funded in June 23, 2011 and registered by the Provincial Department of Justice under JUST.G.S.112/S-KV/2762/2012. The Fondation Tuungane has officialy open its office in Uvira from 26 April 2014 with a view to improve livelihoods and promote sustainable development initiatives amongst young people, currently we are based in Uvira. The organization promotes partnership between the state and non-state actors with a bid to constantly improve the wellbeing of individuals, communities and institutions through public participation towards the achievement of sustainable development. Fondation Tuungane thus thrives to advocate for civil and social economic rights, particularly the organization seeks to empower local communities in Democratic Republic of the Congo to fully participate in development initiatives and improve the standards of living amongst all and more so the marginalized groups, YOUTHS. The organization is currently based in DR Congo.

Since the aim, the work of Fondation Tuungane is organized around 5 thematic areas (Inclusion and participation, social entrepreneurship, transparency and accountability, gender equality and conflict prevention).
