Harriet works with Foundation for Integrated Rural Development Uganda (FIRD) as the Executive Director, Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, a Certificate in Conflict Transformation and a Certificate in Gender and Transitional Justice and pursuing her Masters in Gender Studies.

Harriet has been working with Foundation for Integrated Rural Development Uganda (FIRD) for the last 5 years as the Gender and Policy Advocacy Officer in charge of providing technical support, monitoring, evaluation of project activities and conducting community awareness sessions and Training on human rights.

FIRD is a community Based organization based in Northern Uganda established to improve the quality of life of rural communities through research, advocacy, gender mainstreaming, environment sustainability, capacity building and promotion of respect for human rights and seeks to promote children and Women’s Rights at the community Grass root Level.

Harriet is passionate about promoting the rights of women and children in post conflict Northern Uganda and works to help women and girls displaced by the war and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence , support child mothers overcome poverty and develop sustainable livelihoods through community awareness out reaches on women’s rights and children’s rights protection and promotion, and training's in life skills , training women and girls on their land rights under customary tenure ,Community Drama advocacy, use of social media to ensure that girls and women’s rights are promoted and protected in the post conflict communities in Lira District Northern Uganda .

Therefore by joining this network am looking for becoming a member of a stronger network because having a voice to create change involves numbers , and i will be able to add a voice of the vulnerable women and girls in my community on this network because through this network i will be able to learn one or two things from other members of the network to enhance my work in human rights advocacy, promotion and protection.
