The Garwita institute is an institution engaged in the social and humanitarian fields where several young professionals and student volunteers devote themselves.The focus of the Garwita are social and humanity. In the social field include research in the fields of science, comparative studies, human rights advocacy, legal and psychosocial assistance to marginalized groups and society in general. While in the field of humanity the activities carried out include education and training as well as community empowerment and micro, small and medium enterprises.

Counseling and legal assistance, empowerment of prisoners are carried out in prisons. Through counseling and legal assistance we share with the defendants how they can actually become lawyers for themselves. In addition, there are empowerment activities aimed at inmates who in addition to filling the time of prisoners in prison, also provide supplies for them after leaving prison.
Empowering prisoners that have been running include making sculptures from used materials, welding, and making costumes for the JFC (Jember Fashion Carnaval) event. Through the hands of prisoners armed with used materials, 3 JFC costumes were successfully completed. 2 of these costumes are worn by inmates at the time of JFC visit.

ESUS is done in schools and in villages with the aim of equipping children with knowledge about sex. And palliative care aimed at cancer patients. Palliative activities include care to pay attention to those who are seeking treatment and palliative tours with the patient’s family.
