We help you get justice without delay

70% of inmates in Nigerian prisons are awaiting trial. We use justice clock (civic tech tool)  to track their cases and connect them with pro bono lawyers thereby giving them access to justice.

In Nigeria, the law provides for a 14days (prison) remand period and renewable for another 14 days. The root cause of huge percentage of  awaiting trial persons stems from lack of adherence to these laws. We monitor this with our tech tools and ensure that the needful is done by filing a suit on their behalf or engaging with the relevant authorities.

Fighting Injustice

It is said that justice delayed is justice denied. It is estimated that an average criminal case in Nigeria span for 5 years. However, the law provides for 180 days trial period for criminal cases (section 396 of Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015). In gavel, we create advocacy around these (corruption and criminal)  cases with the creative use of infographics and advocate for accelerated dispensation of justice in such instance.

Putting Law in People’s Hands:

Using infograph for online and offline engagements, we were able to engage and sensitize over 30,000 people about their rights especially in relation to the Administration of Criminal Justice and Human Rights (through the movement of #ReformPoliceNg and #EndSARS campaign we sensitized the people of their rights against police brutality).

In total, we have reached over 100,000 people through our engagements on Human rights, corruption cases,  general legal support and education via online and offline engagements using tech, infographs, tweets and post
