The Gender Mobile Initiative is an organisation leveraging technology to provide several channels for victims and survivors of gender based violence to access information and a range of specialised support services such as legal, trauma counselling, psycho social and livelihhod support opportunities. We are focused on public awareness through town hall meetings, sensitisation, campaigns etc, service delivery and advocacy.

I am Omowumi Ogunrotimi, a development enthusiast and advocate with academic background in Law. I am the Founder of Gender Mobile, an Initiative leveraging technology to provide information and other services including legal, counselling and livelihood support. I have worked in over 50 rural communities creating safe spaces for vulnerable populations particularly girls and women who are vulnerable to abuse and violence by empowering them legally and promoting their accessto justice. I am a 2018 Commonwealth award recipient, the only Nigerian and west african at the time. I am a 2018 JCIN TOYP Honoree. I was awarded as one of the top ten gender activist and advocate by the Institute of Justice and Reconciliation, South Africa. As a legal practitioner, I am committed to using innovative led approaches to solve social problems like I am doing at Gender Mobile Initiative where I coordinate strategy and innovation.
