Reorganized in 2021 to resolve intellectual property issues, genericide, confusion, infringement by unofficial designates and ambiguation stemming from the rights of authorized honorable title holders from all entities since 1927, to further distinguish the title through the Commission with the regulation of an Honor Code, Voluntary Designation and a International Goodwill Ambassador Code of Ethics (COE).

Since 2009, the Goodwill Ambassador Foundation (Goodwill Ambassadors) has represented a collective agenda based on the ideal of advocating benevolence, democracy and demonstrating goodwill to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges and address the global issues identified by the United Nations and other civil advocates. Our program was originated recognizing protagonists which include internationally recognized goodwill ambassadors from a wide-range of organizations including the United Nations, US states, nations, cities, indigenous states, non-governmental organizations (NGO)s, international civil society organizations (iCSO)s, local nonprofits and other benign non-state actors. We have recognized men and women with civil service awards on all 7 continents and in more than 200 jurisdictions, in 2021 our initiative is expanding.

In November 2021 the Goodwill Ambassador Commission (Foundation) decided a name change was in order to disambiguate itself from many organizations that have infringed on our Mark by incorporating our name and concept.
