HONDI UNIQUE APPROACH

Hand-up
HONDI strives to support marginalized groups without hand-outs; instead we will listen and provide them with skills, training and confidence they need to help themselves by working with local partners. HONDI will support long-lasting and sustainable change rather than providing a quick-fix.

Ensuring participation
The marginalized communities shall be involved in planning from the beginning, enabling them to articulate their own vision for the future. Then we shall work closely with local implementing partners and the vulnerable groups, to develop a project that meets their needs. HONDI will also ensure that everyone in the community is involved from the local government to the traditional community leaders, so that, there is a sense of ownership by the community from the start.

Working in partnership
At the heart of HONDI is partnership. We will work alongside individuals, communities and organisations that know the area and understand the issues that people face. We will strive to build their capacity so that they can improve the quality of their work and continue to increase their impact.
