Headfort Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on provision of free and easy Access to justice for vulnerable Nigerians. We do this by providing free legal aid and education in Nigeria.

Headfort Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization creating access to justice for indigent people in Nigeria and importantly indigent inmates across Nigeria prisons. Headfort Foundation was incorporated on the 19th day of March 2019 by Oluyemi Adetiba-Orija- a lawyer and Human Rights activist who has been providing Access to Justice to indigent inmates via a corporate social responsibility of Headfort Chambers since 2018.

This provision of Access to Justice was birth to ensure that everyone irrespective of their socio-economic status can access justice freely and to decongest the correctional centers that are filled with 75% of Awaiting Trial inmates. Headfort Foundation’s work cuts across all the 36 States of Nigeria with its head office in Lagos State. It is the first organization to introduce technology to access to justice in Nigeria through the “lawyers NowNow” App and it is powered by a team of excellent, passionate, and learned lawyers vast in criminal justice law, committed volunteers from all works of life, partners, donors and Board members who are determined to see access to justice easy and free for all.

Since inception, Headfort Foundation has successfully secured the freedom of over 370 inmates pro bono from correctional centers across Nigeria and looks forward to doing more. The vision of Headfort Foundation is being achieved through various projects which include but not limited to Lawyers without Border project, Bail the Indigent Project, My Rights My Freedom Project etc.
