Hequeendo Compassionate Friends is a local not for profit organization established in the year 2006 in Bungoma East sub-county and registered 2008 with the Ministry of East African Community, labor and Social Protection under the Public Benefits Organization  Act 2013.  It is a membership organization formed to specifically champion for the interests of the marginalized and discriminated people within the society so us to enhance their collective capacity in terms of advocating, empowering, influencing and lobbying for inclusion into developmental outcomes in poor settings both rural and peri urban settlements..  The organization activities are all geared towards poverty eradication initiatives, human rights, nutritional formation, and advocacy for good hygiene. The secretariat has evolved to be a leading Not for the profit organization within the county and beyond handling different issues effecting the local population working across all dimensions of poverty including tenure, housing, infrastructure, agriculture, income generation, water, sanitation and Health. This is achieved through the partnership with various stakeholders and partners within western Kenya

Be a leading organization in fighting for and supporting the vulnerable in the society, through lobbing and advocacy, capacity building income generation and environmental sustainability and ensure human dignity for the marginalized and discriminated people both in rural and urban settings.

GOAL

To reach the people in need at all times based on community priorities regardless of gender identity, race, and color of skin, ethnicity, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, social class and age.
