Hope After and During Incarceration Forum

Kampala, Uganda
Joined July 2012
Presence in: Uganda

Hope after and during incarceration (HAADI) Forum is a youth initiative, not for profit organization concerned with the plight of inmates incarcerated/ imprisoned in various detention centers in Uganda.

This was a result of Ms.Kunihira Maria’s internship at Luzira prisons in Uganda while pursuing her studies from Makerere University.
After interacting with very many incarceration victims at Luzira prisons; Kunihira felt there was a lot lacking more so in the field of rehabilitation hence the start of an organization that could restore hope after and during incarceration to these inmates.

More emphasis was to be put on crime prevention through community sensitization with a view of decreasing commission of crime due to ignorance, promotion of effective rehabilitation and positive re-integration of ex-inmates into community.
