Horn Afrik News Agency for Human Rights (HANAHR) is founded by award winning Human rights defenders (HRDs) in horn of africa region whose purpose is to fill the gab in covering  and reporting the most pressing human rights issues in horn of africa region and beyond in order to ease and strengthen the defense and advocacy of human rights of both ordinay citizens and HRDs.

We are a non-partisan, non-governmental and non-profit organisation.

VISION

Defending and advancing human rights for all in general and for HRDs in particular and bringing positive change in the horn afrik region.

Fostering a community that cherishes human rights principles and the rule of law, and committed to supporting counter-extremism initiatives in the horn of Africa and greater horn of Africa region, thus working towards peace and stability in the region.

MISSION

Horn Afrik News Agency for Human Rights is committed to cover human rights violations in the horn afrik region and beyond and to protect/advocate for HRDs.

To monitor and raise awareness on issues regarding human rights e.g. injustice inflicted on the general public and human rights defenders, taking a deep look into different extremist operations that have destabilized peace in the horn of Africa and greater horn of Africa regions. Thereby, working
with relevant stakeholders to promote, protect and monitor human rights for
all and restore the rule of law.

OUR CORE VALUES

We focus primarily on Human Rights in our news/reports, and we struggle to give voice and defend human rights for all, where HRDs protection comes first in all our activities.

We are bound by ethicks, professional code of conduct, and integrity. We are neutral and impartial in our work for the common good. We have a strong commitment to justice, dignity, equality and solicitude.

COOPERATION

We work with local and international non-governmental organizations, civil
society organizations/institutions and all human rights stake holders.
