We are working in in Nakigo, subcounty, Iganga district. we do economic empowerment, life skiils impartation and offer support to the disadvantaged kids by in scholastic materaials.

Iganga Kids’ Empowerment Centre is a hub for skilling, guiding, mentoring and nurturing the children into productive and morally upright citizens. It started as a result of Busoga Youth Mission Group which is a faith based youth-led initiative. We believe that it is only through love that we can change the society. We thank our partners who have made this a reality through their material, physical, financial and spiritual support and urge you to continue being there for us.

Location; we are located at Nawanzu vilage,along Iganga-Mayuge road 8 kms from Iganga town, uganda.

Mission

Is to empower, nurture, support, love, care and mentor families to become self-reliant and dependable.

Vision

Is having a community of young people who are morally and spiritually upright that can engineer positive and holistic development in the community.

Scope of Operation

We do operate from Iganga District as a whole though currently emphasis is on Nakigo Sub County.

IKEC focuses on not only kids but also different categories of people that make the lives of the kids in the society and that is to say the parents and the elderly.

what do we do?

  1. we offer educational support by offering scholastic materials like books, pens, and pencils to the disadvantaged kids. currently on the project of setting up an orphanage school and center for special needs education.
  2. we also offer economic empowerment to widows, the elderly, and teenage mothers through training in skills like tailoring, hairdressing and arts and crafts.
  3. we offer social welfare services by giving out food, basic necessities to the elderly caregivers
  4. In agricultural we give out seeds, and farming implements like hoes to our members.
  5. we also do health education, talks through our health camps and outreach services.
