History / Beginning of the Organization :
In 1991, a group of enthusiastic, young, educated & committed individuals educated and from various fields, got motivated and organized themselves to do good for the society. They have multiple intention for organizing themselves, intended to give something back to the society particularly to the under privileged sections those who were devoid of even the basic needs / necessities of life & also to bring a remarkable change in the existing exploitative & humanizing social order. Soon this small and unorganized effort found a platform called ISARA and it was felt necessary to register formally for better coordination of various activities of the organization. Thus ISARA was formally registered as a voluntary organization under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860 on 01.01.1992 and subsequently registered with ministry of Home Affairs under Foreign Contribution Registration Act 1976. Mr. Rabindra nath Patra is the founder secretary of ISARA.
Mission :
The Mission of ISARA is to empower the target people through organizational building and help them to solve their own problems to become self reliant and establish a sustainable, free and just society.
