Being a staff of the State Government’s Social Justice Department, my service for the last 16 years has been associated with various programmes of the government for poverty eradication through the social and legal empowerment of women and weaker sections of the society.
I worked for the Government’s ‘Kudumbashree’ programmme constituted for the development of socially backward women by training them for legal and social empowerments. Presently I am working for the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) which is one of the largest integrated family and community development schemes in the country. The ICDS is under the Social Justice Department of the State Government, which in turn comes under the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare Department of the Government of India. The prime objective of my Department is to ensure the quality of life and welfare of the women and children of the State.By being a part of this will help me to lead and formulate new ideas in the areas of legal empowerment also to fine tune the implementation strategies of the existing schemes in social justice area in my country.
Sini Ayshumma is the network champion (main point of contact) for Integrated Child Development Scheme -ICDS (INDIA).
