IZAD is an idea of social change, founded on 22nd August, 2002. ‘IZAD” is an Urdu language word which means ‘Invention’. The organization seeks to endeavour relentlessly to lessen human pain and suffering and to foster development of weaker sections on sustained basis.
The founder of the organization is backed by professional education of social work from
Institutes of Social Service, Bihar and had dedicated 17 years in practicing and translating the theory into action.
IZAD started over eleven years ago, in 2003, as a social organisation seeking to reach out to the most marginalised and vulnerable communities of the Indian subcontinent. Through the experience gained over the years and through constant evaluation, the organisation realised the need to change its approach. It thus moved from being a mere funding agency to a development organisation striving to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable and the backward through meaningful partnerships with grass root NGOs and communities. IZAD is registered under the Societies Registration Act & Foreign Contribution Regulation Act.
IZAD is a woman headed organization, and the secretary of the organisation Ms. Akhtari
Begum has been associated with Centre for World Solidarity in the year 2003. Since then her vision has been to work for women and children of the Dalit and minority community.

Our Mission statement is “Transform development of people through participatory practice on sustained basis” ;we focus on women and children. At present, our organization is undertaking various activities under following components – women and child development programme, sustainable rural development programme, campaign on child labor, street children, environment, panchayti raj, women and child rights, campaign against women feticide.
To educate, organize and empower the rural poor to promote development as a liberating force aimed at justice, economic growth and self-reliance and enable disabled people to participate at every level in the society
We are raising fund through local contribution and member’s support to give pace of development. In this connection several national and international donors are providing support. We need much financial support for other operations. We are communicating with various donors too.
