Our organisation work with people at the grassroots in the rural areas of the 13(Thirteen) Local Government Areas of Oyo State to promote sustainable human development and improved livelihoods.
Focus: Community / Customary Land Rights, Criminal Justice, Education, Environmental Justice, Family, Gender-based violence, Governance, Accountability & Transparency, Housing Rights & Informal Settlements, Labor & Employment, Livelihoods, Other, Peace-building & Transitional Justice, Right to Information
Justice, Development and Peace Movement(JDPM) of Catholic Diocese of Oyo is a faith,-based, non-profit and non-governmental organisation which was established to cater for all people, with emphasis on the poor and the vulnerable irrespective of religion, race, age orgender. The organisation is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) , Nigeria with registration number: CAC/IT/No 22933.

JDPM OBJECTIVES
- Building capacity of the minority, the poor and the vulnerable to enable them participate in their own well-being and development.
- Uplifting social justice, democratic value, human rights culture and human dignity in the society.
- Networking and collaborating with other local, national, and international development agencies, people of different faiths and persuasions to effectively address common social concern.
JDPM ACTIVITIES
Democracy and Good Governance; Human Rights Promotion and Protection; Monitoring of Democracy/Public Budget; Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development; Entrepreneur Development and Micro-credit Programme; Youth Development and Formation; Community Outreach; Alternative Dispute Resolution and Free Legal Aid; Conflict Resolution Management.
ORGANIZATION BELIEFS
- The supremacy of the worth of the human being.
- Articulation of development issues through popular participatory approach.
- Human development must be total and inclusive of all citizens irrespective of where they stay and what they do.
OPERATIONAL STRATEGIES
JDPM has departments that coordinate programmes, organise monitoring and facilitate evaluation at different levels. The organisation network internally and externally and believes in consultation.
