Kamukunji Para-legal Network(kAPLEN) was founded in 2004 with the sole aim of providing basic legal aid to the larger population who cannot and/or afford legal representation.
KAPLEN members are trained in areas of Law and Legal procedures,Community Development,Para-legal worker in the community,Communication Theory and Skills,Dramatic Communication and Social Science Research by the Centre for Legal Aid Network (CLEAN).
KAPLEN has different major programs namely;
*Legal Aid and Education
*Health and Environment
*Leadership and Governance
*Youth,Children and Gender
The objectives of the Network is to:-
*Lobby and Advocate for law reforms
*Promote good governance and leadership skills
*To assist dispute resolution
*To enhance networks and collaborations with like-minded organizations.
*To lobby and advocate against all forms of human rights violations.
